This course covers bio-production, bio-function and bio-environmental sciences and involves the study of both natural and social sciences. Students acquire a range of expertise and skills that can be applied to research and solving problems at local, national and international levels in many areas including agriculture, food production and the use of natural resources.
The Bioresource and Bioenvironment course is part of the International Undergraduate Program in English (IUPE) at Kyushu University. It was established when Kyushu Unversity was selected as 1 of 13 universities to take part in the Global 30 (G30) project of the Japanese Government to promote internationalization of Japanese Universities. In 2014 Kyushu was again selected to take part in the successor program to G30 which is called Super Global University where Kyushu is classed as Type A meaning it conducts world class education and research and has the potential to become one of the top 100 universities world wide.
