Overveiw
The degree in Bioresource and Bioenvironment provides an education targeted at the acquisition of extensive knowledge related to bio-production, bio-functions and bio-environmental sciences. Students also acquire expertise and skills that can be applied internationally, and will graduate as professionals with a widely balanced approach to creating solutions. The agricultural research and education field includes a wide range of basic and applied sciences, covering both the natural and social sciences.
Curriculum
IUP courses begin in October. Each academic year has an autumn and a spring semester, which ends in August. All students study required subjects and then select from elective courses to build the course credits required for graduation.

Kikan education
Initially all students study a common liberal arts course with introductions to topics in both the social and natural sciences. Most of the classes are taken in the Faculty of arts and science. Kikan education is a feature of Japanese Universities and ensures that all students receive a broad based general education before starting their more specialised studies.

Thesis
A research project is undertaken based in one of the many specialised research laboratories. The results are written up as a thesis and presented to the staff and students. A wide variety of research topics are available to choose from.
