Soil and Environmental Microbiology

Research on soil environmental microorganisms and complex microbial systems is the future trend of microbiology.
We are 1) environmental assessment and conservation by microbial community structure analysis, 2) resource recycling by conversion of valuables, 3) soil conservation and activation by microbial agriculture, 4) isolation and characterization of novel non-cultivated microorganisms I am aiming for. Many soil environmental microorganisms and complex microorganisms have not been separated yet, and their ecology, properties, and functions are unknown. By clarifying these, it is expected that not only the development of academic and basic sciences, but also a wide range of contributions such as industry, society, and environmental protection.
