Creative Science for insect industries

Based on the world’s highest level of silkworm bioresources that have been collected and maintained at Kyushu University for nearly 100 years, we research on advanced utilization of industrial proteins and industrial use of insect biological resources based on biomaterial production technology by insect factories. We aims to be a base for interdisciplinary integration of business, engineering, medicine, medicine, and agriculture, an industry-academia collaboration base, and social implementation and commercialization of science and technology developed based on various insect research conducted at the center.
