Genome Chemistry & Engineering

Our laboratory has focused on energy-producing organelles of chloroplasts and mitochondria in plants that have been generated by endosymbiosis. We have investigated RNA-mediated coordination of the 3 genomes (nucleus, chloroplast, and mitochondria) and the agricultural application, and the engineering of DNA/RNA manipulation tool for genome editing.
