Pesticide Chemistry
In our laboratory, we aim to elucidate the relationship between in vivo physiological mechanisms of various biological phenomena of organisms in order to elucidate the physiological function of biologically active compounds used as molecular probes to control the biological phenomena.
Emphasized on organic chemistry, compounds are developed with biological activity against insects, higher plants, and microorganisms (molecular design and synthesis, structure-activity relationship). Substances produced by organisms are analysed from a chemical standpoint to elucidate the action mechanism of new biologically active materials.
