Rice Mutant mapping at Kyushu University

This research is based at Plant Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, Fukuoka 812-8581, Japan. The main interest of the project is to locate various rice mutant genes on the molecular linkage map.

Mutants stocks are crossed with Indica varieties (IR24, Kasalath) or SL lines that have introgressed chromosomes of Kasalath in the Nipponbare background kindly provided by Dr. Masahiro Yano as polymorphic parents. F2 or BCF2 segregating populations were used for the linkage analysis.

Mapped genes are listed in

Currently 95 loci were located on the RFLP map.
