Greetings

The institute of tropical agriculture, Kyushu University was founded in 1975 as a joint-use facility by the university. The year 2015 observes 40 years from its foundation. The institute undertakes basic research on tropical agriculture and its relevant environment, including forest conservation, soil and water environment, insects, crops, horticulture, pest and disease management in the tropics. In addition, the institute provides graduate education (MS and PhD) in Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences and Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Global Society. The institute also undertakes international cooperation for the developing countries in the tropics. Please see the detailed pages for more information.
