In recent years, the globalization of the economy and social systems has precipitated a significant transformation in the manner in which natural resources are utilized. In light of these developments, various measures have been implemented with the aim of conserving natural resources. Examples include biodiversity conservation, global warming countermeasures, the promotion of a decarbonized society, and the dissemination of the SDGs concept.The Natural Resource Management Laboratory, under the direction of Momura, engages in empirical research, policy-oriented inquiry, and an analysis of extant literature on the management of natural resources within these forests and adjacent regions.
