中村 真子 教授

私は学部2年次にはカナダ語学研修、修士1年次にはアメリカ企業で海外研究インターンシップにチャレンジし、博士課程修了後は博士研究員としてアメリカで5年間勤務した経験が今の自分を支えています。
九大生には好奇心旺盛でいてほしい、海外を視野に入れてほしい、研究の面白さに気が付いてほしい、どんな展開がまっているかわからない新しいチャレンジをしてほしい、そして、そう思ってもらえるには自分には何ができるだろうかと考えながら日々教育と研究を行っています。

I came to Kyushu University as an international student, not fully knowing what to expect, but with a strong desire to learn and grow through research. Studying and working in a different country shaped the way I think, ask questions, and approach science. Being exposed to diverse research environments and cultures taught me that science does not exist in isolation; it is built through communication, collaboration, and openness to different perspectives.

Through my own journey as a student, researcher, and now a faculty member, I have seen how transformative international experiences can be, especially for young researchers. I want students at Kyushu University to feel confident stepping beyond familiar environments, to engage with people from different backgrounds, and to experience the excitement of research that crosses borders. Through my research and outreach activities, I aim to create opportunities that encourage students to think globally and take on challenges that broaden both their skills and outlook.
