Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences at Kyushu University launched a three-year master’s Double Degree Program (DDP) with Kasetsart University, Thailand, in fall 2024.

Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences at Kyushu University (KYU) launched its master’s Double Degree Program (DDP) in partnership with Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand, in the fall semester of 2024. This three-year program, a collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Agro-Industry at Kasetsart University (KU), allows students to earn both a Master of Science from Kyushu University and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Kasetsart University.

Application guidelines for KYU-DD students
Eligibility
- Degree candidate at the Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences’ International Graduate Program (IGP)
- Fulfill English Proficiency test with a minimum score of TOEFL iBT 79, TOEFL PBT 550, TOEIC 700, IELTS 5.5.
- Fulfill the individual department requirements of both KYU and KU for admission to the DDP.
First Screening (Internal Selection at Kyushu University: KYU)
First, an internal selection process is carried out at KYU, where applicants are comprehensively evaluated based on their academic performance, research plan, and language proficiency. Candidates who pass this stage will be granted the eligibility to take the selection exam at KU.
Second Screening (Final Selection at Kasetsart University: KU)
Candidates who pass the internal selection will proceed to the final selection at KU. The final admission decision will be made based on the criteria set by KU.

Admitted students are waived from paying tuition fees to Kasetsart University.
