農業問題研究学分野では、資本主義経済下における歴史的・制度的な農業問題とその政策課題について、政治経済学の観点から教育研究を行っています。
19世紀にイギリスで成立した資本主義経済制度は、世界中に広がりながら発展してきました。資本主義経済が発展する一方、農業部門は資本主義化が容易に進まず、生産性が工業部門に比べて低位に留まる傾向があり、そのことが国内外において様々な政治経済問題を引き起こしてきました。
私たちの分野では、現代資本主義経済の下で発生している農業をめぐる問題を克服するために、農業問題と農業政策との関連を批判的に検討することを通じて政策課題を究明するとともに、協同組合・社会運動や内発的発展といった農業内部の動きの分析を通じて農業現場からの問題解決の道を探っています。
Our Laboratory studies historical and institutional agricultural issues and policy issues under the capitalist economy from a political economy perspective.
Today, Japan and many other countries have an economic system called "capitalism". The capitalist economic system was established in the 19th century in the United Kingdom and has gradually developed while spreading to other countries in the world. While the capitalist economy has developed, the agricultural sector has not easily become capitalized. In terms of productivity, the agricultural sector has tended to lag behind the industrial sector, which has caused various political and economic problems both domestically and internationally.
In our field, we critically examine existing agricultural policies and clarify their issues in order to overcome problems related to agriculture that have arisen under modern capitalist economies. Additionally, we seek solutions to problems in the agricultural sector by analyzing trends in cooperatives, social movements, and endogenous development in the field.
