Biological Chemistry
RNA processing and degradations play a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression. Furthermore, several conjugations of proteins, carbohydrates, and chemicals are involved in a variety of cellular functions. The laboratory of Biochemistry is concerned with the study of the structure-function relationship of macromolecules involved in RNA degradations and conjugations, such as ribonuclease P/MRP, sulfotransferase, and glycosyltransferase.
