Forest Chemistry and Biochemistry
Forest chemistry & biochemistry laboratory studies the evaluation and the availability of the function of trees and the other organisms that live in the forest. In particular, we focused on how the components of trees, which enable them to grow for a thousand years, are synthesized in vivo.
What are the roles of these components? How can we use them for our better life? To address these issues, we make full use of the most advanced chemistry, biochemistry, spectroscopy, and plant physiology, and the study will contribute to the sustainable use of forest resources such as energy, materials, and medicines.
