OUR MISSION (Message from Prof. Jiro Nakayama)
Laboratory of Microbial Technology aims to cultivate scientists mastering A to Z of applied microbiology while progressing state-of the art microbiological researches fully using these knowledge and technologies. Notably, we highlight (1) understanding structure and ecosystem of natural complex microbiota, (2) screening and identification of novel microoraganisms and their metabolites, and (3) development of effective practical use of those bioresources. Under these policies, we are now mainly conducting two below projects.
