IcoSMT 2026: The 72nd International Congress of Meat Science and Technology

Attending ICoMST 2026 in Korea was a valuable and memorable experience for me. It is a large international conference in the field of meat science, bringing together professors, researchers, and experts from many countries to share their latest studies and discuss the future of meat science. Through oral presentations and poster sessions, I had the opportunity to learn about various research topics and current trends in this field.
I was also grateful to have the opportunity to present my own research through an oral presentation. The title of the presentation is: “The distribution of gap junction proteins, Connexin 43 and Connexin 37 in chicken embryonic muscle tissues”. Sharing my work with an international audience and receiving meaningful questions, feedback, and suggestions from other researchers helped me see my research from different perspectives and gave me useful ideas for my future work.
Besides the academic activities, I really enjoyed the Fun Run in the morning. Running together with other participants was a refreshing way to start the day and a great opportunity to interact with people in a more relaxed atmosphere. We also had a chance to experience Korean culture, such as wearing traditional Korean costumes and watching traditional Korean performances. These activities made the conference more enjoyable and gave us a better understanding of Korean culture.
