In order to make effective use of water purification sludge and waste paper, which have not yet been recycled as resources, the project is to develop new agricultural materials by imparting and fixing value-added microorganisms to water purification sludge. We have been developing the world’s first highly functional agricultural materials consisting of useful microorganisms as the main effect, water purification sludge as a stand-alone (adsorbent), and paper waste as a source of nutrients for the microorganisms, as the raw material composition of agricultural materials. We have developed a soil supplement in collaboration with a horticultural material manufacturer in Fukuoka Prefecture, and have commercialized and sold horticultural culture soil to which the soil supplement is added. With a view to further research and development, we will conduct research on the development of new agricultural materials by focusing on waste mycorrhizal beds (waste mycorrhizal beds) discharged after mushroom mycorrhizal cultivation and utilizing the components contained in waste mycorrhizal beds and useful microorganisms that live in the waste mycorrhizal beds, with the aim of recycling useful waste materials other than waste paper. The research will be carried out.
