Recent Research

We are conducting research on the relationship between hydrodynamic phenomena in water bodies and water quality changes, fisheries diseases, and water pollution in closed water bodies such as lakes, reservoirs, and aquaculture ponds in the tropical and subtropical zones. In particular, we are conducting field observations and sampling of aquatic environmental changes in Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, and are engaged in research on the following three main themes.

Research Keywords

Closed water bodies, salt and brackish water aquaculture ponds, density currents, thermohaline convection, fishery disease, agricultural environment, heavy metal pollution of agricultural wastewater, water surface image analysis, quantification of fluid phenomena using water surface images
