Almost a year has passed since the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus infection in many parts of the world. During this period, many people around the world have been affected in various ways, and our lifestyles have changed dramatically. We are gradually learning more about the impact of the new coronavirus in various regions, and some reports are beginning to appear about the impact of the virus on the lives of people in Asian countries.
However, we do not yet have sufficient information on how university communities in tropical Asian countries were affected, how the lives of students and the research and education of faculty members changed, and how they battled coronas. In particular, universities of agriculture and forestry conducted experiments, practical training, and fieldwork in rural areas, and it is thought that there were various trials and errors in the implementation of education and research.
Therefore, we asked university faculty members in Vietnam, Laos, and Bangladesh to present topics on how the lives, education, and research of faculty members and students at universities of agriculture and forestry in tropical Asian countries changed under the epidemic of the new coronavirus infection, and we also discussed the path to post-corona. The topics were also discussed.
