As a result of our efforts to disseminate the method of cultivating vegetables with reduced pesticides and organic fertilizers using ICT and to sell vegetables with reduced pesticides in the previous project, “Project to Improve Farmers’ Income for the BOP Class Using ICT (Information and Communication Technology),” we confirmed that the consolidation of farmers based on telecenters and the collection and provision of agricultural information using ICT were extremely effective. The effectiveness of the telecenter-based farmer consolidation and the collection and provision of agricultural information through ICT were confirmed to be extremely effective. The project aims to make the most of this effectiveness by organizing farmers in each rural village into a group of producers of high-value-added vegetables (semi-organic vegetables) using reduced pesticides and organic fertilizers, thereby providing a major opportunity for farmers to break out of poverty.
