In Bangladesh, an agricultural country, the improvement of the income of BOP (smallholder) farmers is essential for poverty reduction. With the limited number of agricultural advisors and information provided by the government of Bangladesh, we have started a project to contribute to the improvement of farmers’ income and poverty reduction by disseminating useful agricultural information to farmers for their production and marketing activities using ICT, using telecenters that are beginning to spread in rural areas as information centers.
